Unforeseen events can happen at any time and it’s normal, but if you can I kindly ask you not to reschedule the same class more than twice. Rescheduling a class many times means that I won’t be able to fill in the hour and normally I won’t have the chance to work.

Yes, you can, but you have to tell me 24 hours in advance. If you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the class, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will be able to reschedule your class without any extra cost or penalty. However, if you want to cancel within 24 hours of the class or you don’t show, you won’t be able to cancel it and it will be like you have attended it: you won’t get your money back.

What is the reason behind this cancellation policy?

Working as an online teacher means earning money per hour. Hence, if you don’t show up for class, I won’t be able to fill up the class with another student and earn money. If I haven’t found them, at least I would have some time to try filling it in or have a chance to organize myself. In this regard we can literally say that “my time is precious”. I wish I could give you back all of your money, but in this case, I am losing money when you cancel a class. It’s not just that I don’t earn money. For this reason, I highly recommend you cancel the class 24 hours before the class if you start feeling sick. That way, you will be able to reschedule your class to another day and I will be able to find another student to fill in the hour. Of course, getting sick is human and it’s nobody fault, but it wouldn’t be right if I lose money because you are sick. However, if I am sick and I have to cancel the class, we will reschedule it to a later moment, because it isn’t fair that you lose money because of something that happened to me.

Yes, I could cancel a class because of connection issues, power cuts, sickness, natural disasters or other consistent reasons. However, the class will be re-arranged as soon as possible according to your availability and obviously without any extra charge for you.

If a class is interrupted on several occasions or cannot be completed because of specific technical issues or that can be attributable to me (Mónica), the class will be rescheduled without any charge for you. In case of recurrent technical issues (due to connection problems on your side) and if you want to, I will proceed to revoke the pending classes due to the impossibility to provide a proper learning experience. Consequently, I will give you your money back for the classes we could not have.
